We fly to Accra in the morning, our itinerary revised. I can't help but feel a tinge of wonder that all we saw of Senegal was Dakar. No Casamance. No Mali. No Burkina Faso. But overland travel would have been challenging and/or expensive. Mali would have been harder going with less English. And we are both suffering from a bit of culture shock. I think Ghana will be easier, if not cheaper. After all, Engilsh is spoken widely and the people are know for their positive outlooks on life. Undoubtedly there are a few days on a beach awaiting us there, on the other end of an Air Mali flight and a few more sweaty days in a city. Many countries ahead, so no use worrying about what might have been...
